English Learner

The English Learner (EL) program is for the instruction of students whose primary language is one other than English. We are committed to helping each EL student acquire proficiency in the English language skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Some students receive EL support in collaborative classrooms. Other students are supported outside of the classroom with extra English instruction as needed, depending on their language needs.

Some of the languages spoken at the Red Pine students' homes include: Spanish, Hmong, Vietnamese, Russian, Lao, Khmer (Cambodian), Korean, Tagalog, Urdu, Cantonese and Portuguese
